School Year 2017/2018 Application available NOW! Due Friday, March 31, 2017 to LHHS Career Center or WAVE Campus. This is for any student in Lake Havasu that will be a 10th, 11th, or 12th grader next year.

  • Program classes meet 4 days per week (not Thursday). This program has a High School credit path OR a Dual Enrollment path with Mohave Community College. Course Fee: $75 per year. Tuition: $0; tuition is paid for by WAVE. Transportation will be provided for 2017-2018.

9th graders: remember to put WAVE Culinary on your 4 year plans when you enter high school in the fall!

Student Chef Dinner Series:

WAVE Culinary and Hospitality program is pleased to announce the student chef themed "Dinner Series." These are opportunities for the public to experience a nice dinner prepared by our second year students. These young Culinarians will be responsible for the menu, front of the house, and back of the house. Currently the following dinners are scheduled:
  • Tuesday, March 7: French Food
  • Menu:
  • Parmesean-Herb Madeleines
    Seared Chicken Breast w/Lemon Pan Sauce
    Confetti Rice Pilaf / Garlic Green Beans / Croissant
    Flourless Chocolate Cake w/Raspberry Coulis and Crème Chantilly / Crème Brûlée

  • Tuesday, Apr 25: Mexican Food
The cost is $25/person or $40/couple for each dinner. Only 40 tickets will be sold for each night. Public tickets are available for purchase beginning on Monday of the week prior to the event. You may purchase directly from WAVE Culinary by calling 928-453-7017 (8 days prior to event). Guest Chef Series:

We are proud to offer culinary courses taught by two professional chefs in Lake Havasu. In addition to working with the community they are each offering MCC courses for credit in the evening at the LHC WAVE facility.

Holiday Baking with Chef Otto Kursics:
Want to master some of those holiday baking skills ahead of time? Join Guest Chef Otto Kurcsics for some cheerful times in the kitchen.

Classes will be held Thursday, October 27, Thursday, November 10 and Thursday, November 17 from 5:30-8:30 pm.

All three classes are included with the $150 fee. We ask that you register one week prior to first class. Sign up today at WAVE Central Campus.

Guest Chef Series:
Community members love the WAVE Guest Chef Series!
Students team up and prepare culinary delights. Class topics were International Foods, Sauces/Stocks, Soups, Holiday Treats, and Cupcake Decorating. Classes are usually 3 nights, once per week. Come and join the fun!

Cinco de Mayo Sampling by Taher Chef. Our guest chef was Efrain Cuevas with Taher who gave a brief history on why we celebrate Cinco de Mayo. He demonstrated a Margarita mix with a Mango-Habanero Syrup. The participants worked in two groups to make a Mole which consisted of 25 ingredients! One group toasted seeds, nuts, spices, herbs and chiles, while the second group worked at blending a variety of chiles for the Mole base. The Mole was wonderful, rich and flavorful with a little kick, and was served with grilled chicken and Spanish Rice.

"Kakes by Karen" demonstrated Cupcake Decorating. Each participant decorated two cupcakes after a demonstration of cupcake decorating. The Butter Cream icing was a big hit with the 15 participants!

The Western Arizona Vocational Education public meeting notices are physically posted at 700 W. Beale, Kingman Arizona in the front lobby of the Mohave County Building, main floor. This website will host the information also. Meeting notice information and agendas are also sent to the partner high school district superintendents. The district offices of KUSD #20, CRUHSD #2, LHUSD # 1, and PUHSD # 27 can all provide access to the information.
