Trades and Industrial Pathways

Western Arizona Vocational Education (WAVE) is a career and technical education (CTE) district that helps high school students prepare for life after graduation — whether that means entering the workforce immediately or continuing their education. One of the primary ways WAVE achieves this is by removing the cost barrier to college coursework.

 

Wave works in three ways - 

• Partnerships with local high school CTE programs.
• Payment of tuition and fees for high school students & recent graduates to attend CTE programs at local community colleges.
• Specialized training through our Central Campus courses (Fire Service, Culinary, Nursing).

Every home, hospital, warehouse, autoshop, and job site depends on skilled tradespeople, and there aren't enough of them. WAVE's Trades & Industry pathways put high school students in real shops with real tools, learning the same skills employers are hiring for right now.

 

You'll train alongside Mohave College instructors, earn college credit while you're still in high school, and finish with certificates that mean something to an employer on day one. Many students walk out of graduation and straight into an apprenticeship, a job, or their next certificate — with no student debt behind them.
