Lake Havasu High School Senior Reese Ford, received the October WAVE Outstanding Work Student Award (WOWSA). Reese has explored several CTE programs: autos, software and app design, and allied health. He also took all three years of the business management program. He is co-president of FBLA and took 1st place at state and 9th at nationals in Impromptu Speaking. For Reese, CTE is like being able to "eat two scoops with one spoon, gaining the business knowledge he desired, the physical knowledge about himself, the mechanical experience and new ways to think." His instructor, Mr. Mallinger, added: "Reese is a pleasure to have in class because he wants to learn as much as he can. He leads discussions, asks questions and is always willing to help other students."
The WAVE Outstanding Work (WOW) Award was given to Kay White, CTE Administrative Assistant. She has a can-do attitude, approaches every challenge with problem solving skills and consistently finds ways to support both staff and students with efficiency and grace. Her cheerful presence brightens the office and her genuine appreciation for the teachers creates a culture of encouragement and respect. Mrs. White's thoughtfulness, cookies or helpful smile make her a integral part of the LHHS and CTE team.
Congratulations to both of these Lake Havasu High School Knights! They make LHHS a great place to learn and work!
