Medical Pathways

Western Arizona Vocational Education (WAVE) is a career and technical education (CTE) district that helps high school students prepare for life after graduation — whether that means entering the workforce immediately or continuing their education. One of the primary ways WAVE achieves this is by removing the cost barrier to college coursework.

 

Wave works in three ways - 

• Partnerships with local high school CTE programs.
• Payment of tuition and fees for high school students & recent graduates to attend CTE programs at local community colleges.
• Specialized training through our Central Campus courses (Fire Service, Culinary, Nursing).

Healthcare is the fastest-growing employer in Mohave and La Paz counties, and WAVE puts you in scrubs before you finish high school. Our Medical Pathways, offered in partnership with Mohave College and Kingman Regional Medical Center, let you earn college credit and industry-recognized certificates while you're still a student, so you can walk into a clinic, hospital, dental office, or ambulance bay ready to work, not ready to start training.
